The Buddy Holly Hall

The Buddy Holly Hall is a stunning performance and visual arts center in Lubbock, Texas, dedicated to Buddy Holly as well as the music of Lubbock and West Texas. Go laugh, dance, and be in awe with Broadway performances, famous comedians, your favorite bands and so much more.

The Science Spectrum

There’s always something fun and exciting to explore at the Science Spectrum! With over 250 interactive exhibits AND an aquarium - you can find something for your whole family to enjoy. 

There are 3 floors with science and technological developments on display. Watch a movie on their IMAX theater screen or one of their many daily live shows. A great place for a summer birthday party for the kiddos when it’s 100+ degrees outside!

Cactus Theater

Check out Lubbock’s “hidden gem” for entertainment. See a musical or play at the historic Cactus Theater! They host tribute bands, orchestras, film screenings, comedy shows and everything in between. Did you know you can also RENT the Cactus Theater for your party or group event?!

Museum of Texas Tech University

Another cultural resource in Lubbock! It’s literally 6 museums in one! View their rotating art and science exhibits or check out the Lubbock Lake Landmark. Admission is free every day AND the Planetarium is now open! Just a reminder - they’re closed on Mondays. Follow them on Instagram for updates.

Joyland Amusement Park

You don’t have to go all the way to Fort Worth to ride a roller coaster! Take the fam to Joyland Amusement park. It’s small, family owned, and right next door! With thrill rides, kiddo rides, water rides and a classic carousel - you can plan for a day of fun. Families have been making memories at Joyland for over 50 years.

Municipal Garden and Arts Center & Lubbock Arboretum

Stroll through the beautiful gardens during any season of the year! We love this addition to the Lubbock community that offers monthly art exhibits, camps and more. Sign up for their Newsletter to follow along for latest classes, programs and events. You can also pop over to the other side of Clapp Park and explore the 90+ acres of nature at the Arboretum.

McPherson Cellars Winery

A must visit for date night!!! Stop by for a tasting or a guided tour. Sip your favorite blend out on their beautiful patio and listen to live music every Thursday night at Patio Night! Try a variety of local food trucks - it’s the perfect summer spot. A reservation may be necessary for larger groups, check out their website for more information.

Cotton Court Hotel

Prairie Dog Town

Prairie Dog Town is a wildlife park that was established in Mackenzie Park in the early 1930s. This is the first protected prairie dog colony of its kind. Experience hundreds of these cute animals - they are SO entertaining! If you look close enough you might even see burrowing owls. It’s open to the public from sunrise to sunset all year. Add this quick stop to your West Texas bucket list.

First Friday Art Trail

First Friday Art trail is a free, self-guided public art walk that helped launch Lubbock in to the Texas art world! Hop on one of the free trolleys and connect with artists and collectors or make new friends during a night of art, music and fun! This runs the first Friday of every month - no matter the weather - from 6 to 9pm. There's usually live music and you can explore the Cultural Arts district in style.

J’s Creamery 

This frozen custard is creamier, smoother, fresher, and more delicious than traditional ice cream! Choose from a sundae, shake, malt, smoothie, or even a blended coffee - you won’t be disappointed.  When remodeling the Lubbock store we went here everyday for a delicious treat! A personal favorite is butter pecan.

Dirks Signature Chicken 

Dirks is absolutely one the top chicken places in Lubbock! With such a small menu you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Fried chicken and collard greens is where it’s at. That’s our team's favorite order. Trust us.

Located just blocks away from Texas Tech University, this coffee shop is a whole vibe. Sit in the cute nooks and edit photos while you sip your Americano and munch on a scone. We love the atmosphere and the incredibly friendly staff. Say hi to our friend Matt and show him some love! Best barista in town.
